Lotte Jorgensen

Judge CV

Lotte Jorgensen has owned and showed Afghan Hounds since 1971, and breed about 30 litters of afghan hounds besides a few litters of Poodles, American Cocker Spaniels, Whippet, Lhasa Apso and Dachshund.

The Boxadan puppies has been exported to all over the world - to most of the countries in Europe as well as to USA, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Brazil, Chile, Australia and Japan, and most of them with great success.

Boxadan afghans have been “Afghan of The Year” ( male or female ) in Denmark, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, South Africa, Brazil and Japan – and been ‘Stud Dog of the Year’ in Denmark, England and USA. They have won more than 200 All Breed and Specialty Best In Shows, gained 250 Champion titles and 11 World Winner titles.

Lotte have been winning the title ‘Dog of the Year’ all breeds in Denmark no. 1 in 1978 and 1986, and Runner-up to the title in 1979, 1985 and 1993.

Lotte Jorgensen was licensed as FCI judge for Afghan Hounds in 1986, and is today approved for more than 50 breeds. ( All FCI Group 9 and 10 ( Toy and Sighthounds ), all Group 8 ( except Retrievers ), Beagle, Bulldogs, Newfoundland, Podengos, Pharaoh Honds etc. ).

Has judged at the World Dog Show in 2010 in Denmark and in 2017 in Germany, and at more than 270 Specialties and championship shows in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, England, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherland, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Israel, USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

In March 2020 Lotte was judging an entry of 198 Afghan Hounds at the famous Crufts Dog Show in England.

Lotte Jorgensen is author of a book about American Cocker Spaniels, has been President for the Danish Sighthound Club, and received the honorable ‘Golden Pin’ from the Danish Kennel Club for significant breeding.
