Judge CV
Hi all my name is Cathrina Dunne and I live in the picturesque Dublin mountains with my family and of course my small but select kennel of Shetland sheepdogs.
I have been a breeder and exhibitor of Shetland sheepdogs for almost 30 years under my prefix Longrange . Indeed my first breed was rough collies which I still love and have a huge interest in to this day. In my breed Shelties I have made up 13 Irish champions in all 3 colours and both sexes even if my passion is breeding blue merle’s, the most difficult of all I think. In more recent years I have exhibited in UK and have made up 3 UK champions , and I bred a blue bitch who won bob at the WDS in Czech. My homebred Sheltie Ch. , UK , Int ch Longrange Cailin who I am campaigning at the minute is currently top all breeds in Ireland and I have been top breeder of Shelties for the last 2 years, she also has 6 CCS in UK from very limited trips. Although exhibiting and breeding is indeed my first love it goes hand in hand with my judging which I am very passionate about.
I have judged many specialities and all breed shows all over the world, UK, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Australia, Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Croatia, Germany, Czech. I have judged speciality shows in Shelties, Collies, Samoyed ,old English sheepdogs . I am qualified to judge all breeds in group 1 and all breeds group 5 and I will finish my final progression into group 2 this year. I have also judged best in show at all breed championship level.
I am very honoured to judge at the European Dog show 2024 in Slovenia and I look forward to this wonderful appointment . .. regards Cathrina Dunne
