Judge CV
My first Labrador bounced into my life in 1977. A beautiful black bitch who I was encouraged to show and work and she soon became a Swedish and Norweigan Champion and I was truly caught in the Labrador web.
On moving to the UK in 1987 the Richbourne kennel was established with my late husband Richard. We have since then made up several show champions and champions along with numerous international champions. Notable success was bitch CC at Crufts in 2017.
I absolutely love showing and judging Labradors in equal measures, it’s the only thing that gets me up at 4am in the morning! I have had the privilege of judging Labradors all over the world and the highlight was undoubtedly judging a record entry of bitches at Crufts in 2019. I own all three colours and have no preference when judging.
Trying to give something back to the breed which has given me so much I am currently the Secretary of The Yellow Labrador Club a position I have enjoyed for the past 20 + years, Secretary of Windsor Championship Dog Show and a trustee of a Labrador Rescue. I have also held positions as Field Trial Secretary of The Yellow Labrador Club and Secretary/Treasurer and later Chairman of The Labrador Breed Council. I am also a Kennel Club member and serve on several of their committees.
Professionally our son and I run our 250acre family farm on the outskirts of London where we manage a herd of pedigree Hereford cattle and run a large horse livery yard.
In addition to our Labradors I share my home with Welsh Pembroke Corgis and Miniature Schnauzers.
As you can probably tell from the above, my life and passion is very much about animals.
